Turkish dramas: what’s all the fuss about?

Letter December 23, 2013
What is the problem in seeing the culture and traditions of a brotherly Muslim nation.

KARACHI: Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to ask to all those people who are against the transmission of Turkish dramas in Pakistan: what is the problem in seeing the culture and traditions of a brotherly Muslim nation.

Those who object to their broadcast, forget that Turkey is a Muslim-majority country and its people have always shown respect and love for the people of Pakistan and consider us their brothers and sisters. If anything, they should kick up a fuss on the continued — and extensive — broadcast of Indian shows and dramas on several private Pakistani TV channels.
