There has been a rise in sectarian violence in the country after November’s deadly clashes in Rawalpindi.
On July 26, two suicide bombings, hardly a minute apart, had tore through two busy marketplaces in Parachinar killing at least 48 people and injuring nearly 200 more.
The death toll from the twin suicide bombings had risen to 57 as nine more people had died of their wounds at different hospitals a day later.
