The DHA administrator congratulated the PTCL for becoming a partner of the DHA in developing te first smart city project of the country. He said that the event was yet another landmark towards developing the DHA City as a planned, sustainable and futuristic city of international stature.

PTCL CEO and president Walid Irshad said that a foundation has been laid for developing the first smart city in Pakistan with all modern facilities needed for today and envisioned for tomorrow. He revealed that in the DCK, the infrastructure would be laid to meet higher bandwidth requirements of the future smart city, adding that the roadmap for the ICT was based on fiber optic with higher availability of wireless applications like 3G and LTE.
