Busted: Police recovers opium, heroin during routine patrol

Police recovered 120 grammes of opium from a man identified as Muhammad Zareen, a resident of Gura Baluch, Tank. According to a Saddar police official, the accused was arrested from Chashma Right Bank Canal, DI Khan. 


In a separate incident, the police seized 12 kilogrammes of opium and two kilogrammes of heroin during a raid on Allah Dad Hotel near Mufti Mehmood Chowk.

A police official said the accused, Muhammad Akram, was carrying a handbag in which the drugs were concealed and had boarded a passenger bus from Bannu heading to Jam Pur, Punjab via DI Khan.

Akram is a resident of Aba Khel, Lakki Marwat, the official added. Saddar police SHO Zahoorudin along with other officials were on a routine patrol when they apprehended Zareen and Akram. Both culprits are in custody and separate cases have been registered
against them.
