PESHAWAR: A woman was severely burnt allegedly by her husband over a domestic dispute in Alhaj Colony, police said on Saturday. Paharipura police said Luqman threw kerosene in the room his wife Shahnaz Bibi was asleep in at night before setting it on fire. They added she was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, but was later shifted to Taxila for treatment as her body had been completely burnt. “We have registered an FIR and are investigating the case,” said a police official, adding the couple had a troubled relationship and quarrels between them were a regular occurrence. The two are said to have had a verbal dispute a night before the incident.
