Teaching English

Letter November 12, 2013
I have been talking to my grandchildren in English since they started to talk and they can now speak it fluently.

KARACHI: This is apropos Dr Tariq Rahman’s piece of November 11 “The correct way of teaching English”. English is one of the easiest languages to learn. I have been talking to my grandchildren in English since they started to talk and they can now speak it fluently. They are in school now and do well in all subjects because they are able to read and speak English. They do better than their fellow students and stand first in their classes. I suggest that English teaching should start in Class-I in all schools.
