We are all Anwar Congo

Letter November 08, 2013
To live, think about ones’ acts and relive in guilt or remorse is the real punishment.

TORONTO: This is with reference to Shivam Vij’s article “We are all Anwar Congo” (November 8). The writer has narrated a wonderful story in his piece. I agree with his idea that the death sentence does not really punish murderers, but only pleases the victims’ loved ones. To live, think about ones’ acts and relive in guilt or remorse is the real punishment.
