Explosion: Child killed, six injured in Peshawar blast

According to the police, the device was planted near an electric supply tower.

PESHAWAR: A child was killed and six others were injured when a medium-intensity bomb went off near a government-run primary school in Peshawar on Monday evening.

According to the police, the device was planted near an electric supply tower. It blew up, injuring seven people and spreading panic among locals.

A child injured in the explosion later succumbed to her injuries.

After the incident, the bomb disposal squad personnel inspected the site and said high quality explosives had been used in the device.
