QUETTA: During Tuesday's Balochistan Assembly session, a scuffle broke out between the government and opposition members, Express News reported.

When the session started Awami National Party (ANP) MPA Engineer Zamruk Khan stated that the session was useless and there was no point attending the Assembly.

“The Balochistan Assembly session takes place only to eat pakoras and tell jokes,” he said.

This criticism was challenged by Provincial Minister Abdul Rahim who exchanged harsh words with MPA Zamruk Khan. This was soon followed by a scuffle and heated words exchanged between the government and opposition members.

The Assembly session was postponed for 15 minutes as a result.

When the session resumed, opposition members staged a walkout to protest the behaviour of the government.

Trouble in the Balochistan Assembly session today followed a day after a scuffle broke out between members of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on a seemingly petty matter.

Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Nighat Orakzai in the session was seen going up to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Soran Singh who, according to video filmed during the session, was heatedly delivering a speech.

Orakzai was seen gesturing at him angrily and even attempted to throw a punch in Singh's direction while Singh went on with his tirade.
