Haqqani network: ‘Sirajuddin gets a new deputy’

Bilal Zadran was appointed in place of Mullah Sangeen Zadran who was killed in a US drone attack.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Bilal Zadran has been appointed deputy of Sirajuddin Haqqani, Taliban source confirmed to The Express Tribune. According to the source, Bilal Zadran was appointed in place of Mullah Sangeen Zadran who was killed in a US drone attack in the Ghulam Khan area of North Waziristan. The decision of appointing Bilal Zadran was taken in a Shura meeting held under Sirajuddin Haqqani in Miranmshah, North Waziristan, the source told The Express Tribune. Bilal, 35, a nephew of the late Mullah Sageen, who is an explosives expert, is also a senior leader of the Haqqani network and carries a bounty of 0.2 million dollars on his head.
