Militant clashes: Five killed as rival outfits trade fire

At least five suspected militants were killed when two militant groups traded fire near Darra Adam Khel on Wednesday.


Clashes between the Tariq Afridi and Momin groups erupted in the Thor Chappar and Bosti Khel areas of Frontier Region Kohat, a local political administration official told The Express Tribune.


“Three fighters from the Momin group and two from the Tariq Afridi group were killed in the violence,” he said.


Meanwhile, two militants were killed and four security personnel were injured in clashes in the North Waziristan Agency late Tuesday night, when militants attacked a security forces checkpoint in the Kharh Kamar area with heavy weapons.
