An Andheri court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Preity Zinta in a cheque-bounce case! Zinta has been going through a rough patch ever since her first production venture Ishkq in Paris, bombed at the box office leaving the actor heavily in debt.

Abbas Tyrewala, who was commissioned to write the dialogues for the film, filed a case against her after a cheque worth INR1.89 million bounced, according to the Times of India. The warrant was issued after Zinta failed to appear in court in spite of repeated orders. She was slapped fines worth INR5,000 and INR2,000 for failing to appear before the concerned magistrate on two occasions.

Zinta’s advocate, Ratneshwar Jha leveled a string of allegations against Tyrewala. “They did not deliver on time. The dialogues were to be submitted within three days and this was not done. In fact, even when it was done, the dialogues were not up to the mark and couldn’t be used in the film,” said Jha. The lawyer sent in an application stating that Zinta was out of town but a warrant was issued regardless.
