Benazir murder: Formal trial of Musharraf begins

The ATC indicted Musharraf on August 21 for three charges

ISLAMABAD: The formal trial of ex-military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Benazir Bhutto murder case began on Tuesday as one witness, police constable Kashif Bashir, recorded his statement in Anti-Terrorism Court before Judge Chaudhry Habib-ur-Rehman.

The ATC indicted Musharraf on August 21 for three charges, including criminally conspiring, abetting and murdering the Benazir Bhutto who was assassinated in a gun-and-bomb attack outside Liaquat Bagh on December 27, 2007.
