Pk-42: Blast outside polling station in Hangu

DPO Khan informed the school’s boundary wall was damaged, but no other loss was reported.

HANGU: A bomb planted by unidentified militants exploded outside a polling station in Sangairh area on the outskirts of Hangu on Thursday.

Hangu DPO Sajjad Khan said the explosive device was planted near a school designated as a male polling station for the by-polls in PK-42. He added no casualties were reported in the blast. “The explosion occurred minutes before polling time ended,” said Khan, adding heavy contingents of police along with security forces rushed to the spot and surrounded the area. DPO Khan informed the school’s boundary wall was damaged, but no other loss was reported.
