Blast in Quetta: Explosion on Sariab Road kills two, injures another

Unknown persons planted an Improvised Explosive Device on a road side near Irrigation Colony.

Two persons were killed and another sustained injuries in a blast near Sariab Road, Quetta, on Monday night.

According to police, unknown persons planted an Improvised Explosive Device on a road side near Irrigation Colony which exploded with a loud noise.

As a result, two persons travelling home on a motorcycle were killed while another sustained injures. The bike was destroyed in the attack.

The deceased and injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment and identification. The deceased could not be identified till the report was filed. The injured person was identified as Nadeem s/o Subh Khan.

A case has been registered against the unknown persons and investigations are underway. Up till the filing of the report, no group had claimed responsibility for the attack.
