Line them up and execute (II)

Letter October 04, 2010
Do the Taliban show any shame, remorse or sadness when they execute or bomb Pakistani civilians?

LAHORE: I would like to raise some further points with reference to Ejaz Haider’s article (October 4). How can we be sure that the rifles used by the shooters were G-3s? Furthermore, the video in question is so grainy and of low resolution that one cannot say with certainty whether the fatigues worn by the shooters are the same as those of army soldiers deployed in Swat. Everything must not only be investigated, but the investigation and results must also be acted upon. The nation must know who the killers are as much as those who were killed, and why.

Having said that I will ask everyone that do the Taliban show any shame, remorse or sadness when they execute or bomb Pakistani civilians? Are we not at war? Are madrassa-indoctrinated fundamentalist zealots not our enemies? As far as they are concerned, we are their enemies and they don’t have any qualms or second thoughts about it, so why should we?
