Former Balochistan minister Zahoor Ahmed Buledi’s brother – a worker of the National Party (NP) – was gunned down on Wednesday in the Bulaida area of Kech district.

Talking to The Express Tribune from Turbat, the Balochistan Levies’ official Mujeeb Ahmed said the former minister’s younger brother, identified as Noor Ahmed, was coming home in his car from Dam when unknown attackers riding a motorcycle opened fire at him.

Sustaining serious injuries, Noor died on the spot. The deceased was shifted to Turbat District Headquarters Hospital, where he was identified as a National Party’s worker and former provincial minister’s younger brother Noor Ahmed Buledi.

No group had claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report. However, it appears a case of targeted killing. Earlier, the Chief Minister’s spokesman Mir Jan Mohammad Buledi’s nephew had also been gunned down in identical circumstance.
