KARACHI: Unidentified persons gunned down the imam of a Jamia Masjid in the area of Gul Bahar, just after he had stepped out of the mosque after offering his afternoon prayers, reported Express News on Thursday.

According to initial details a 9mm pistol was used and the victim, Maulana Saleemuddin was shot three times.

Police officials have confirmed the death of Maulana Saleemuddin and his body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Unidentified persons forced the closure of nearby shops after the incident took place.

It seems that the level of tolerance has been evaporated from the society long time ago.

I don't know what the deceased Pesh Imam may have said in the Khutba of last Juma prayers?

Does any body know who has killed the Pesh Imam Sahib?
