Criminal act: Gas pipeline blown up in Machh

Unknown persons have blown up a 12-inch diameter gas pipeline with explosive materials in Machh area of Bolan Pass on Tuesday.


According to the sources, the explosive materials were planted in a gas pipeline which exploded with a big bang. The blast made a 8 foot crater near the gas pipeline and the bomb disposal team recovered a piece of safety fuse. Due to the blast, many areas, including Quetta’ supply of gas is disrupted.

According to police, two kilogram explosive materials were used in the blast. The team of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has started the work of repairing the effected pipeline.The local authorities have lodged an FIR against unknown people and have begun the investigation. No one had claimed the responsibility.
