Gunmen injure SP Crime Branch in Karachi

KARACHI: Unknown attackers travelling in a car opened fire at retired Superintendent (SP) Crime Branch Maqsood Ahmad’s car in Lines Area Karachi, Express News reported.

Maqsood’s security guard Rauf told media that one black and one white car had started their pursuit the moment Maqsood had left his house for his office.

One of the cars in pursuit rammed itself against Maqsood's car, whilst attackers in the other car opened fire.

Maqsood sustained bullets in his stomach and arm, and was rushed to Jinnah Hospital where his condition is now stable.

Earlier, Maqsood had submitted a request in the Supreme Court against out of turn promotions in the police.

He had also filed in a report against Karachi’s land mafia.
