DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Lady health worker Amna Bibi and her younger sister Reshna were killed in Tank city when unidentified armed men opened fire at them inside their house on Thursday morning.
Police officials at Saddar police station said Amna was killed on the spot, while Reshna sustained injuries and was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital, Tank where she later died.
Amna Bibi’s son Shakirullah lodged an FIR against unidentified persons at Saddar police station in which he stated he had gone to his friend’s shop when at around 8:20 am he received a call from his neighbour about a shooting incident at his house. Shakirullah rushed home to find his mother dead and aunt critically injured.
Police officials said it is too early to comment on the nature of the incident or those accused, but investigations are underway.
