3 children among 16 killed in explosion near Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Sixteen people - including three children - were killed while 32 others sustained injuries in an explosion in the Badaber area near Peshawar, Express News reported on Sunday.

According to the initial details, the blast targeted an FC convoy.

The injured, including security officers, women and children, were taken to the Lady Reading hospital and Combined Military Hospital.

The explosion was followed by an exchange of fire between FC officers and armed assailants.

Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.

As the blast occurred in a marketplace, many shops and vehicles were badly damaged because of the explosion.

Police claimed that around 40kg explosives were used in the attack.

Ch. Nisar makes me miss Rehman Malik. At least he was always present or gave a statement or two. Nisar is useless. How do PTI and PML-N hope to improve economy with these bombings and attacks who will want to invest in such an unstable country?
