Pakistan Taliban claim responsibility for KPK attacks

Hayatabad police SHO was killed, while four others, including his driver and gunman, were injured.

Police is conducting a search operation to arrest the assailants.

PESHAWAR: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said the TTP attacked and killed the Hayatabad SHO.

The Hayatabad police SHO was killed while four others including his driver and gunman were injured in unknown militants firing on their van near Karkhano Market on Wednesday.

SP Cantonment Faisal while talking to journalists said that SHO Mira Jan was escorting Nato supply vehicles at Kharkhano when three unknown militants travelling on a motorbike opened fire at the police vehicle near Azeem Market, killing the SHO on the spot while his driver Ibrar along with gunman Sajjad and two pedestrians were severely injured.

Police in return opened fire at unknown militants, however, they managed to escape said SP Faisal adding that the injured were taken to Hayatabad Medical Complex.

Heavy contingents of police rushed to the site and launched search operation in surrounding areas.

Ehsan also claimed responsibility for the attack on the head of the local peace committee Malik Hashim Khan in Bannu on Wednesday. Khan was killed along with his son and nephew in Zindi Falak Sher area of Bannu.

The SHO was killed because his income was in rupees not in Riyals,Dinars,Dirhams or Dollars and I can assure you that TTP only did it to avenge the drone attacks carried by the SHO's police station
