Please shift to the CM House!

Letter June 19, 2013
When Mr Khattak or Mr Sherpao are coming out of their homes, the road and all squares adjoining the area are blocked.

PESHAWAR: After the swearing in of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, we have noticed some positive change in the province. However, I have noted with concern that people are getting inconvenienced daily in order to facilitate Mr Khattak.

I live in the Hayatabad area, the same place where Mr Khattak and Sikandar Sherpao live. Every morning, when I go to the office, there are policemen standing at a distance of every 100 metres guarding the road for VIP movement. Similarly, when Mr Khattak or Mr Sherpao are coming out of their homes, the road and all squares adjoining the area are blocked. People are getting fed up of this routine.

It would be better if Mr Khattak shifts to the Chief Minister House and Mr Sherpao also shifts elsewhere, perhaps near the CM House. This will save people from all the hassle they face daily and also save the expenses being incurred out of the public kitty on the daily routine of these two gentlemen. Policemen will also heave a sigh of relief as they are made to stand in scorching heat on a daily basis.
