According to reports, Sheikh had asked for water from a bus hostess; the hostess failed to serve water on time, which resulted in a quarrel. The annoyed MPA slapped the bus hostess in the face and harassed her.
The driver of the private bus immediately took the bus to a police station and the passengers demanded legal action against the MPA in question.
PML-N leadership has demanded answers from Sheikh within three days, while Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has ordered inquiry into the matter.
Nighat Nasir was elected as a member of provincial assembly from the PML-N seat.

Suspending party membership isn't enough punishment. She should be charged a fine as well.
Rather PML-N should have suspended, or barred her from, Assembly membership. These MNA/MPAs think that they are above the law and citizens are their subjects :-(
Dear @SK: You are right, this is common practise but what makes this particular event News is the fact that PML(N) suspended the membership of the MPA concerned. Which is one thing, we as a nation need to support and demand more of. We are well aware of the injustice handed out by the powerful/elite in this country. Magar it would not be smart to let all that frustration build up we need to start to correct this system and any member doing so must be given due credit. I hope this inquiry is not just a report for the media but will actually be a transparent one for the people to observe. Also, it is high time that we demand the media give these sort of issues special attention and demand that whoever is the culprit be made an example of.
@Muslim Leaguer: It's because PPP is basically irrelevant now. Let's talk about the present, this PMLN MNA was wrong and she had the audacity to file an FIR against the poor hostess. If this is the kind of people you have in your party, tell me how one can have any respect for your party. It's disgusting what they did, and you as a PML-N supporter should also raise your voice against such behavior.
If found guilty, her membership to the parliament should also be revoked.
Hats off to the disciplinary policy of Mr Shahbaz Sharif. Unlike previous regime of PPP where Waheeda Shah slapped a lady worker in a polling station, PMLN has always taken prompt action against any complaint. But Mysteriously, the PTI trolls always remain silent against PPP !

I have more respect and regard for the Bus Hostess than of MPA who slapped her.
The law will come into action and probably the MPA might be declared disqualified for holding a public office, similar to the one who slapped one of the election staff and was declared disqualified, despite the fact that she won the MPA election from Sindh.

Doesn't this happen everyday somewhere in Pakistan by some politician or some high level govt functionary, some relative of some of these high level people? why is this the news? isn't it the Pakistan we live in?
At last a decent thing that's been done. Why didn't police register a case of assault against this MPA?
