Official report: Flood stage ‘normal’

The report says that Kabul River at Nowshera and Warsak is flowing in high and medium flood stage.

According to the report received from the Flood Cell of the Irrigation Department, the water level in most rivers is normal.


The report said Kabul River at Nowshera and Warsak was flowing in high and medium flood stage, discharging 146,100 and 99,710 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, Panjkora River at Dir, Shah Alam River at Takhtabad, Adenzai River at Adenzai Bridge and Naguman River at Charsadda Road also witnessed a medium flood with water discharge of 25,377; 9,417; 54,991 and 18,502 cusecs of water respectively, while Indus River at Tarbela, Swat River at Khwazakhela and Amandara Headworks were flowing in low-flood stage, discharging 322,700, 23,668 and 26,966 cusecs of water.

The remaining rivers in the province were flowing at a normal stage.
