ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Syed Amir Hamza Gilani on Monday said the body was not contemplating imposing ad-hoc decisions on sports federations or associations.

He stated that members of certain federations and associations were issuing false and fabricated statements, calling the board to instigate the persons having vested interests to form parallel sports federations or associations.

Gilani claimed that the PSB was only performing according to its constitution and implementing the government's policies and complying with Supreme Court's judgment.

The sports body's DG regretted the attitude of certain sports federations and associations that were involved in issuing false statements was damaging the sports culture in Pakistan while dragging PSB in controversies.

Gilani clarified that PSB has never indulged in any foul play nor been unfair in offering support to any of the national sports federation or association.

The DG said that PSB has no foes or friends and believes in working professionally according to its mandate provided by law of the land.
