Governor Balochistan Zulfikar Magsi on Sunday officially resigned from his seat, Express News reported.

Magsi, governor of the province since 2008, had submitted a resignation two years ago, but President Asif Ali Zardari had declined it.

He resigned after the nomination for the new governor of the province was announced.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif announced that the new governor for Balochistan will be from the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).

Addressing a joint press conference in Murree, he added that National Party (NP) President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch was nominated for the slot of provincial chief minister.

Why NS (future PM) is appointing governor? Isn't this President's job. If it was done by PPP PM - everone in media was after him/her but then we know how Pakistani media works and who controls it lol! Goodluck new government everyone is behind you ;) hopefully you take us out of this mess. BTW loadshedding in my city is 12 plus hours and before election it was 6 hours. But noone in my neighborhood coming on roads and no breaking news. See NS everyone is supporting you ;) so don't let us down.

Can someone explained what is good in him? Although a Governor is not an executive, he still has a symbolic value and is supposed to act as a moral force. He did not motivate anyone and achieved nothing constructive. He just sat there drinking tea all day. Please enumerate his achievements, the guyz praising him.
