KARACHI: The Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has demanded that a military operation should be launched against the terrorists of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and their offshoots in Karachi immediately.

“A Shia lawyer and his two young sons were killed, a Shia doctor and his young daughter were injured while many other have also been attacked by the outlawed Taliban and their offshoots in Karachi,” said Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, the MWM Karachi secretary-general.

Accusing certain law enforcers of supporting terrorists, he said that a campaign should be launched against those officials complicit in such attacks.

“We shall launch a countrywide sit-in protest immediately if our demands are not met and then the government will be held responsible for the repercussions,” he warned, adding that the tolerance of the Shia community should not be tested.
