ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will launch a three-day campaign to address issues relating to sewerage, sanitation and encroachments in the federal capital. The campaign, titled “Renovation, Upgradation and Beautification,” will be inaugurated next week, during which all concerned officials of the CDA will be present at the civic body’s inquiry offices to conduct the necessary procedures. CDA Chairperson Tahir Shahbaz presided over a meeting of the civic body’s board members to finalise all arrangements. It was decided that priority would be given to sanitation, sewerage and beautification-related issues which would require minimum manpower and machinery, reducing the need to invest huge sums of money. He said the campaign would commence in sectors I and G because these sectors were most neglected in the past.
