Cheating — a trend

Letter April 13, 2013
The invigilators, especially of government schools, encourage students to cheat.

KARACHI: Cheating in board examinations is very common in Pakistan. No strict action is taken against those who cheat. The invigilators, especially of government schools, encourage students to cheat. Students openly bring their textbooks and other cheating material in the examination hall, with no one checking against this practice. Invigilators have been known to ask students to hide their cheating material if anyone from the board department comes for a round.

The government should look into this matter and solve it immediately because it is unfair for deserving students who spend the whole year working hard only to be upstaged by cheats during examinations.
