Scrutiny of candidates: Khawaja Asif’s disqualification sought

Advocate Rashid Mehmood had filed an application with the NA-110 returning officer.

SIALKOT: Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Khawaja Muhammad Asif was issued a notice on Wednesday to appear before a returning officer on April 6 for allegedly not declaring the actual worth of his assets. Advocate Rashid Mehmood had filed an application with the NA-110 returning officer. He submitted that Asif had declared in his nomination paper that his four-kanal house in Sialkot Cantt was worth only Rs2.5 million. He said the actual value of this house was worth at least Rs120 million. NA-110 (Sialkot) returning officer Nadeem Gulzar has issued the PML-N leader a notice for April 6 to give his account.
