Interim cabinet: List of potential caretaker ministers prepared

Candidates include journalists and former police officials.

K-P was the first province to appoint a caretaker chief minister. The process to appoint caretaker ministers is now underway.

PESHAWAR: A list of prospective interim cabinet ministers for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has been prepared, sources said on Friday.

Official said ministers on the interim provincial cabinet would be inducted in two phases, in the first of which six people would be appointed and sworn in. The oath-taking ceremony for this phase is expected to take place on Saturday (today).

Sources further informed potential candidates for cabinet slots in the first phase include journalist Muhammad Riaz as information minister, Imtiaz Gillani as education minister, Dr Zia-ul-Islam as health minister, former chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority Yunus Marwat as finance minister, former inspector general Abbas Khan as law minister, and former inspector general Fayaz Toru who will look after the provincial interior ministry.

In the second phase of the process, which is expected to take place in the coming week, four more people will be inducted. Potential candidates for this phase include journalist Shamim Shahid as forestry minister, Shams-ur-Rahman Shamsi as agriculture minister, Mohsin Aziz as industrial minister and Brigadier (retd) Imtiaz Khan as minister for social welfare.

Sources said the law department had prepared oath taking documents for the K-P caretaker ministers, adding that due to continuing discussions between various political parties, changes in the portfolio of potential candidates cannot be ruled out.

I read the prospective list of cabinet for KPK. it is one of the best cabinet, in which it is observed that Mr. Rayat khan ex-commissioner/secretary is missing. if his name is consider as minister, in rearl sense he will bring the land mark in kpk, just he bring during his service. He is one of the great, sincere, faithfull solider of Pakistan

I think the best method to you be to use a dove to set on someone head in Haji Camp Adda and let through this process nominate the ministers. You should read the constitution.
