Another PIA engine failure
A bird had hit the plane's engine after take off, said a PIA spokesman.
KARACHI: A Lahore bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane made an emergency landing in Karachi on Friday.
According to a PIA spokesman, a bird had hit the plane’s engine after take off, forcing the plane to land. The passengers will now leave for Lahore on another flight at 8PM.
A number of PIA planes have developed faults during take off in the recent past. PIA’s Flight PK308 landed was forced to land in August after take-off from Karachi with over 390 passengers on board after its engine No. 3 experienced severe vibrations near Nawabshah, forcing the pilot to recall the flight.
