QUETTA: At least four police officers were killed and another other was critically injured when their convoy was attacked in Sattelite town, Quetta on Saturday evening, Express News reported.

According to Express News correspondent Irfan Rana said that two unknown armed men riding on motorcycles opened fire on the police patrol.

Three policemen were killed on the spot while two others were injured. The dead and injured were shifted to a hospital where one of the policemen succumbed to his wounds.

"Three policemen died on the spot, while one expired at hospital," senior police official Zubair Mehmood told AFP.

Doctor Noor Mohammad at local government hospital confirmed the death toll.

Rana added that rescue services and a heavy contingent of police and security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the crime scene.

Police officials have been targeted in recent days. Earlier in the week, an attack on a police checkpost saw at least two officials die, and one injured.

Has anybody seen this? Its about that Tarek Fatah guy from Canada who writes for the Toronto Sun and Huffington Post. Apparently there is a 50 page report out about him and his incitement to hatred and violence vis-a-vis our Balochistan issue. I read it...and WOW...the kind of things this guy gets way with is just amazing! We often don't realize how many people make a career out of promoting hatred of others. Worth checking out
