Gaga launched the scent this year in Macy’s stores in the US and in some stores in the UK in August. “Fame” was the fastest selling perfume after Coco Chanel. It also sold out faster than Beyonce and Madonna’s perfumes, and was named the country’s best-selling celebrity fragrance this Christmas.
Gaga’s perfume got 19 per cent of sales in the country’s high-end stores, reports contactmusic.com. The new James Bond fragrance “007” came in second, while Britney Spears’ “Midnight Fantasy” is on the third spot.
Other perfumes on the top 10 list includes Madonna’s “Truth or Dare” and pop group Steps’ “Guilty Pleasure”.
