Culture day — why not for all of Pakistan?

Published: December 24, 2012

RAWALPINDI: It was heart-warming to see thousands of people in Karachi take to the streets in order to celebrate Sindh Culture Day. Indeed, the citizens, proudly clad in red ajraks and traditional Sindhi caps, were a happy sight to see. But one wonders, why does it have to be Sindh alone? What we need is a Pakistan Culture Day, a day when millions across Pakistan, proudly clad in traditional dress, can take to the streets in order to celebrate unity in diversity.

‘Unity in diversity’ is the slogan that india keep chanting to the world. Pakistan was created out of India for a cause and a reason, as Quaid-e-Azam understood and worked for it, till his last breath.
Our unity lies not in diversity, but in our unitery religion. Recommend

Sure, we can have *emphasized text*Pakistan Cultural Day, anytime all people just want.
But this makes me wonder, why all of sudden concept of ‘Pakistan Cultural Day’ emerged on your mind, only after when it started from Sindh. One needs to realize that Sindh too is also a part of Pakistan and Sindh Cultural Day in no way, is a negation to Pakistans’ culture. So we don’t need to compare the two apple-to-apple.Recommend
