The local chapter of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat on Sunday announced that it would support the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s candidate in the PP-92 by-election on Tuesday (today).
The announcement was made by the party’s district president Maulana Arshad Hameedi at a madrassa. Hameedi said his party would support PML-N’s candidate Haji Nawaz Chohan. He said the party had chosen to support Chohan because of the development projects he had initiated in the area and for promoting “politics of honesty”. Other Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat leaders present on the occasion included the AWSJ district vice-president Chaudhry Babar Hussain Gujjar and city president Maulana Mohammad Hanif Kashmiri.

CJ's suo moto must be in practice in punjab violence in bi election and rigging reports. It will assure the neutrality to the people of Karachi
When PML-N will get support from terrorists they have to support them back... easy to understand terrorist cycle in Pakistan.
PML(N) has openly supported SSP and ASWJ candidates in the past and they supported all militant activities of SSP, LJ because of simple reason -- "Badmashi" on the name of religion. These people are spreading venom of extremism and terrorism in rural and urban areas of Punjab which could prove fatal for social fabric of Pakistan's most populous province.
Once again it is proved the inside relations
That's the real face of PML-N supporting Anti-Pakistan Anti Islam elements.
@Mirza @Asad Well, atleast till now they have not used it as per your comment. But you hold yourself tied to popular PTI mantra of blaming others and at same time avoid turning south to Karachi bcz there aren't any millitant groups active. What abt PPP alliance with pure political party in KHI i-e Sunni Tehreek.
@Azmat: "So what to worry about this… If other religious parties support others then y ASWJ and PML can’t make alliance"
And in general elections, PML-N will make alliance with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and TTP. Good luck Pakistan!
This news will disappear after some time
Shame on PML-N, i think this is why Musharraf was saying Nawaz Sharif is a modern taliban. A good opportunity for PTI to take on PML-N on media.
It wasn't mentioned any where that the announcement came after a meeting with any PML-N leader, so it is unfair to blame PML-N for it. Also for all of those aware of the dynamics of Gujranwala must know that Gujranwala is the strong hold of PML-N, so they have to win it anyway.
So what to worry about this... If other religious parties support others then y ASWJ and PML can't make alliance
Guess what people supported by militants will win.
inshallah pml n win in by election
Instead of presenting a chagrined and constipated disposition - Sheep Herd members are asked instead as to why their most popular party between planet earth and the outer universe always ends up chickening out of elections?
Why getting disturbed now, no issues when PPP gets support from Sunni Tehreek (the biggest religious militant wing)
PML-N showing its true colors ASWJ is its natural ally whose leaders it is protecting and hosting in punjab. They would serve as the militant wing of PML-N when the time comes.
It is ironic that even though the rightwing parties claim to be popular they cannot contest elections without the relgious parties.
All the media wrath is only for PTI, will anybody pick up on this news item as well?
