Crime: Suspected child murderer arrested

MULTAN: A man was arrested on Thursday on charges of murder and attempted rape. The victim’s two children were injured in the incident, of which one of them died at a hospital. Doctors say the condition of the injured child is critical. Basti Malook police said the suspect, Shakeel, a resident of Ghausia Colony, had entered Zahid’s house while he was away. They said he attacked Zahid’s wife, Fareeha, and her two sons with a knife.One of the children died on the spot. Seeing this, police said, Shakeel then fled the scene. The injured mother and child were taken to Victoria Hospital, where doctors treating them said that the child was in a critical condition.
