Addressing the ‘Islam Zindabad Conference’ in Karak, Fazl said the attack on teenage activist Malala Yousafzai was a “drama” and that there was no sign of an injury after the bandage on her head was removed.
The JUI-F chief said he sympathised with the child activist as “raising a hand” on women is forbidden in Islam, but there were other “daughters of the nation like Aafia Siddiqui” who also harboured a great desire to promote education in the country.
“Aafia Siddiqui was sentenced by a US court to 86 years of imprisonment even though they have no proof of her having links with al Qaeda.”
Fazl said Malala was not the only one to have faced injustice. “Lots of women are killed or injured in US drone strikes. On average, 15 to 20 people are killed in Karachi every day.”
Fazl said his party did not believe in an armed struggle for the implementation of Shariah (Islamic law). “JUI-F believes in a political and democratic struggle, but we have the right to ask who is responsible for this war on terror in Pakistan.”
Talking about the recent cases surfacing against politicians, Fazl said his party had not been implicated in the Asghar Khan case.
“Not a single member of the party has benefitted from the National Reconciliation Ordinance,” he added.
Fazl also lashed out at the Awami National Party (ANP) terming it “the most corrupt party in the history of the province (Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa).”
Earlier, Javaid Khattak, Noor Islam, Yousaf Khan and others announced their decision to join JUI-F.

i m Agree with Moulana fazal ur rehman He is a great LEder and True Leader of Islamc State........
we all hate Fazloo Mama but has anyone seen the signs of swelling or deformation mark of bullet that penetrated Malala's skull ??? we all know that gunshot wounds to the face leave very serious swelling behind but in Malala's case ????
I have never agreed with maulana neither i liked his party but i fully agree with his statement, don't judge who the person is judge by what he is saying if you don't agree than see malala pics after surgery ohhhhhhh what a clean face after getting shot in head.
@Zulfiqar:
Why? If you think every doctor from DHQ Mingora to CMH Peshawar to Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology Rawalpindi to QE Hospital is a liar then you need to have your head examined.
Drama ... let's play another one. Ha..ha.., hee.. hee... ho.. ho...ho.. let's introduce some anarchy. do i look like a man with a plan? ha, ha, haa.... i do not plan... i ..just do it.
@Saleem: "Will the army put this liar in his place". Yes Army is going to put maulana in his rightful place and that is to be named Amir-ul-Mominen for the whole of Pakistan.
@ShahzadS: Spot on. Very well said !
I really didn't expect such a foolish statement from someone who is called a leader. Can the talk shows bring him on tv and show him pics of all the kids killled by Taliban. He's been watching bold and beautiful too long.
This and the celebration of kaderi makes me sick.
So he is saying that the armed forces medical corp who treated the young girl were lying. Will the army put this liar in his place.
No wonder my parents used to warn us that smelling petroleum product was injurious toone health...Maulana Diesel, what have you been smelling?
It's incredible . how liberals have tried to milk this episode for their nefarious purposes. The only people to benefit from it are liberals who arranged for it.
No wonder he is called Maulana Diesel.
I am not astonished seeing the comments from this molana`s supporters. How dumb is this nation?
All that comes to mind is Inna Lillah wa inna alihe rajioun - this is the progeny of the man who is on record of saying some thing to the effect of 'thank God we are not part of the creation of this menace called Pakistan'. If this was such a drama the Government would not have sent her to UK, and exposed her so publicly, unfortunately the maulana, living in Pakistan, beleives that people can be bought any where. Now I am sure intelligence is not an acquired taste but either you have it or you don't. There is a hadith that Hadoor (pbh) said a time will come when these ulema will be the worst creation on earth. I think that time has come, and if we want Pakistan, and the world to survive, we need to get rid of them just like Kamal Attaturk.
@ Zulfiqar, Medical records of an individual is not a public property. Medical records are very confidential and in civilized countries these are kept under strict privacy laws. Only courts have authority to make them public in legal when patient is involved in a crime. In Malala's case, non amongst investigating agencies, people who transported her to different parts of the country, hundreds of medical doctors, surgeons and staff, government authorities, army generals has said anything contradictory. If you don't believe them, then here is something very seroius problem with you. Have a medical check up and get treatment.
this man is a typical Pakistani - he is living in Disneyland or smoking some very good hash and will always blame the rest of the planet for Pakistans ill fate
Why are the pakistani public blind,,, Western media does not broadcast all the innocent afghan/iraqi children that they have mamed/killed etc etc,,,Why is Malala so special and other children not,,,??????
Here comes "Maulana Diesel" with his new movie "Lets make people fool"
"Mullah Mafia Alliance" (MMA) has gone hysterical !
This man is a puzzle inside a riddle wrapped in an enigma and I think he is now lost in his own riddles. By the way, what is up with the yellow pagri? He looks like a character out of A Passage to India.
Maulana is no doubt a hypocrite and a very clever politician who can stoop even lower than this for getting some votes and loyalties of emotional, fanatic, religious fools. There are many people who would totally believe this nonsense from him. What a Shame!!
Hmm maybe there will be a fatal attack on your fat behind and we will happily call that a drama too. Imbecile!
@Zaigham: And also the British doctors, nurses, British media and British government. Maulana knows more than everyone.
I hate to agree with this gentleman but on this occasion I am tempted. Hundreds of children are targeted, injured, and killed by drones and talibans but only Malala gets the privileged treatment on the tax-payer's expense. A media and political drama seems to be in order. Even the military was preparing an action in NW after this event. Wow! Please don't take me wrong, I have nothing against Malala; I am just making a general point.
This man is himself a big drama. He has tried to confuse the issue by bringing in Afia Siddiqui's case and of other 'daughters of the nation' and killings in Karachi and so on. If there are other wrongs being done, they should be condemned, too, but why should he try to defend the militatns who committed this brutal act? We are all for Aafia's release from US prison, but the apologists of the militants are reluctant to condemn the brutes who attacked Malala. Being an apologist of the Taliban, he and his ilk could keep issuing such statements. But the problem is that the Taliban themselves have confessed that not only did they carry out an attack on Malala, they would do it again when she recovers! If, despite clear statements of confession and intent to repeat the act by the militants, the apologists of the militatns can have the audacity and shamelessness to say what they are saying, then they they need to be examined by some psychiatrist. With leaders (or are they dealers?) like these, one can only pray for the nation.
@Introspection: yes professor conspiracy
Just like stockholm syndrome where victims start to feel emotionally attached and bonded to abusers ,there is a new syndrome (denial and conspiracy) where your favoured secret sinful actions is showing results or damages and you deny deny and say its all drama as someone else did it. Some physcological scientist should name this as Pakistan syndrome as it is prevalent in pakistan more than any place.
So Malala has to die in order to prove her innocence !!!
What say you maulana diesel?
@Shahid Pirzada: You need to follow the 'Time-Line' and 'Reports' intently first, to truly educate yourself on the Malala incident, before commenting...I know, that's a 'tall-order' for you and the likes...
@Fundar,I totally agree with you someone should perform this drama on him and other people like him and then lets see how these people will feel when others will call them drama???? I remember the first attack on Benazir in Karachi when many people were calling it a drama by PPP to get sympathy. It is all so absurd and shameful!!!!
Agreeing with Molana for the first time
The conspiracy included a bus load of girls doctors and attendants in Mingora , Peshawar, Islamabad, the Government of UAE who provided the plane , the hospital doctors and attendants in Birmingham hospital , Imran Khan , Shabaz Sharif, Raja Rental , Army chief Gen Kayani who visited her in hospital and of course the fact the insurgents taking credit of it see link above surely this is denial like given by JI and JUI , then sir we can also deny that we are in Pakistan. Surely you jest also see link below to identify apologists of these bullies who shot a fourteen year old girl because she wanted to go to school . http://blog.ale.com.pk/?p=2043
Exposing the right-wing’s bigoted stance on Malala and character assassination attempts blog.ale.com.pk So, basically the information above shows quite clearly that the religio-political parties in Pakistan and their supporters are not just sympathisers of Taliban, as we all know and as they produly claim. They are the Taliban. Find me a few differences between the tone, statements and language used b...
A persons medical records are a private matter. Is the Mowlana sahib brave enough to share his own medical records?
1, 9/11 is drama 2, Attack on USS Cole is drama 3, Attack on US embassies in Tanzania & Tanzania is drama 4, Attack on Mehran base is drama 5, Attack on GHQ is drama 6, Attack on Kamra base is a drama 7, Ongoing attacks on civilians, Shias, non-Muslims, security forces are drama 8, Attack on Peshawar every other day is a drama 9, Hanging of civilians in Mingora Khoni Chowk during Taliban era in Swat is a drama. Therefore, attack on Malala is also a drama! Moulana Sahib be happy.
Somebody give me a gun and his head! I'll make n Oscar winning drama!!!!!!
Mouth is like a shop and you come to know whether it is a gold shop or a coal shop when it opens.
Comparing apples and oranges Molana. Dr Afia and Malala's situations are poles apart. Anyways, using the attempted murder of a child to appeal to your anti America constituents is disgusting and hope you don't get into the next assembly.
So sorry to hear such an irresponsible statement from a leader of a prominent party. This just tells us the magnitude of the problem. How deep the roots of ignorance have grown. A long educational process will be needed to eradicate this type of indoctrination.
Leave the personality of Maulana aside. But nobody did answer the question he raised????? Where are the injuries???? The pathway of bullet, as told by the doctors, can never allow a person to recover so rapidly without any brain damage or even a scar mark. Extremist liberals???? What is the difference between you and Mullahs?????
Well He has a very weak reputation and relationship with truth so Although he is said something logical but it will not be taken seriously ... Every one has brains and eyes , And people who don't live their lives according to what our news channels tell us can see what is actally going on in this Malala issue..
The comments show that people donot have trust in the views of Mr Maulana Fazl.
Maulana this time speaking right thing
And the main role palyed in this drama by Moulana himself:)
First time in history, Maulana has said something sensible and true.
Why blame maulana?
Its actually the people who follow him and they are a lot.
Pakistan's middle class, be it in the armed forces or other professions - they do not question anyone who pretends to preach religion.
So, Pakistan has no future.
Why not Supreme Court ask Fazal ur Rehman, bring proof of his statment.
I have stronger belief in statements of Birmingham hospital than those of Maulana sahib.
Well this is something which makes sense to me !
@ sabi and Choptocut..
Can't agree more. I pity on his illiterate and blind followers. Lets make these bigots history in coming elections.
Nothing surprising, this was expected..............
He is correct (ha ha ha), because all people from swat, Army doctors', Army Chief, Govt., all political Leaders, Media, every one is ignorant about this injury except Maulana. Unless Maulana will not do this drama how can get some votes?
All the medical reports of Malala should be made public to end this debate !
Liberals using Malala for their own personal gains..
And now these right wings using and interpreting for their own good..
This man is a clever demagogue and know how to cash the emotions and sentiment of conservative/fundamentalist and extremism ridden society. Well done Mulana! you are playing very well with stupid people who are eager to accept rhetoric, myth and drama and take no pain for logical reasoning and scientific thinking. Mulana public rhetoric is in contrast to his personal view point regarding the ongoing Taliban insurgency which he share in his private gatherings.
Not as big a drama as you and your party are.
I don't know about Malala's situation being a drama, but this statement definitely makes JUI-F a comedy.
This man has never called spade a spade and has never delivered anything positive for this country, except that he has ever enjoyed corridors of power through wheeling dealings. Even now despite telling people that he is out of power, he is chairman man Kashmir committee enjoying its perks/privileges as also sitting in Baluchistan Government. Frankly is the master in art of Hippocracy
Another try to make the Taliban happy...hahahahaha...
Educated, and Intelligent Pakistan Citizens know that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is right! The Malala sit-com was a fake 'Sham Rock!
I wish someone would do a "drama" on this nutcase. Like Nargis he should become an Islamic scholar. Maybe she can teach him a few things.
The most idiotic statement I ever read, and this guy heads a political party in Pakistan. This can only happen in Pakistan.
And, you are director and producer, right?
Because Maulana Fazal has no or ignorable political existence so his remarks must also be given no or ignorable attention.
This calls for an independent appraisal of the injuries to Mallala and an appraisal of the sanity of the accuser as well.
You are also a drama full of hypocricy
He himself is a drama..... Such a cheap comment... HUH :@
