The trend of children wearing branded clothes is increasing in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD: Ayesha Amir is holding a children’s line clearance exhibition at Behbud Café that will continue till Thursday. Almost 600 branded pieces of clothing for children sized 0-12 are currently on display and Ayesha says she has recently moved towards selling accessories such as socks, leggings, thermals and shoes for kids.
Ayesha Amir has been in the business of selling clothes to women and children for more than six years now. This time at the Behbud Café however, she is only selling children’s clothes.
Ayesha travels to Sri Lanka, London, USA and stocks up popular brands like Marks and Spencer, Next and Mothercare.
“Although Lahore has Mothercare and Next, they do not have such a vast variety. I have three children and I know how desperate mothers are to get
good branded clothes, especially in Islamabad,” she explained.
“People in Islamabad do not have many options if they want to buy branded clothes for their children. The pieces at my exhibition sell like hotcakes,” Ayesha said.
Originally belonging to Peshawar, Ayesha believes that this trend of children wearing branded clothes existed in Lahore and Karachi predominantly, but the trend is now emerging in Islamabad as well.
Mrs Ali, a regular client, came to buy Eid clothes for her children. Mother of three, Ali said, “The clothes Ayesha brings are really nice, and the cost is not that much either, if we include the travelling and the effort the total price would triple.”
“It is really convenient for us to just walk in and enjoy the variety,” concluded Ali.
