GURGAON:

“Namaste Delhi” — is how international singer Enrique Iglesias greeted his fans as he took to the stage to belt out some of his popular numbers, sweeping them off their feet.

From children as young as 12 to adults as old as 50, all were seen swaying to the tunes of Spanish singer as he performed in Gurgaon during his second visit to India.

The international pop star, who came to India in 2004, returned with a bang. He sang, danced, and jumped with crowd of thousands of people at the HUDA Grounds on Friday night.

The singer greeted his Delhi fans in Hindi saying, “Namaste Delhi. Aap kaise ho? Main aapse bahut pyaar karta hun!” (Hello Delhi, how are you? I love you so much!).

The singer, dressed in casual jeans and T-shirt with his trademark cap completing the look, made people get over the resentment of delay in the show, as he crooned his popular numbers like “Tonight I’m Lovin’ You”, “Rhythm Divine”, “Bailamos”, “Escape”, “Tired Of Being Sorry”, “Just Wanna Be With You”, “Baby I Like It”, “I Like How It Feels” and “Hero”.

He dedicated the song “Hero” to his fans saying, “Delhi this is for you”.

The singer happily interacted with them, either by shaking hands or signing autographs. He even took a teenage girl and a 12-year-old Sikh boy onto the stage and grooved and crooned along with them.

Overwhelmed by the response, Iglesias, 37, said: “This is why I love India. We have been to so many nations but nobody makes me feel like India does.”

The singer is on a tri-city concert in India, with bookmyshow.com being the exclusive ticketing partner for Iglesias’ tri-city concert in India.

After performing in Pune Wednesday and Delhi Friday, Iglesias is due to perform in Bangalore Sunday.
