MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan will be leaving for Saudi Arabia on Friday to perform Hajj along with his mother Zeenat Husain, The Times of India (TOI) reported.
Khan was in Chicago shooting Dhoom 3 and returned to India on Thursday morning. While addressing the press during the music launch of his upcoming film Talaash, the actor said: “I am leaving for Hajj and will be returning in the first week of November.”
According to the TOI report, Khan had recently asked his mother if he could get her a gift and she expressed her desire to perform Hajj.
Khan then promised his mother that he will make the trip to Mecca with her, the report stated.

I sincerely hope and pray that this would Hajj enable him to become a better Muslim.
It is really sad to see these Muslim brothers, for the worldly fame, or fake unity, committing violations of one of the most fundamental injunctions of Quran- restriction on marriage with non-Muslims(with the exception of practicing Jews or Christians).
Regardless what ones political views or nationality, one should always avoid interpreting Quran superficially or with little knowledge. This is no joke it is a matter of eternal salvation or damnation. (However if one doesn’t believe in God, life after death or accountability on the day of judgement then there is no argument).Recommend

Every action should be to please Allah and to get closer to Allah. Its just so unfortunate that terrorists have hijacked our religion and most people in the world are so misguided about our religion.

Aamir Khan is a legend indeed. That is because he is in secular India and were he in Pakistan then nobody would have known him. That includes Dilip Kumar, SRK, Nargis, Mohd Rafi, Saif Khan and the list is endless. Surprisingly nobody in Pakistan (also the land of pure) talks about big Amitabh Bachchan who is regarded by Guiness Book of Records as the most succesful bollywood star of all time. Is it because he is a kafir?

Bollywood is a 100 years industry. It is not known to the world only because of the Khans as you imply. In the 60s Raj Kapoor was known in Russia. In the 70s, Amitabh Bachan was known throughout the Arab world and Africa. And ofcourse today Shah Rukh has the same cachet internationally but totally wrong to say that Bolywood’s fame is dependent on Khans.
One individuals opinion being translated to the entire country is strange. These Khans including Aamir wouldnot have been stars in the first place if the only people to watch their movies had been Muslim. No producer could have taken the risk of alienating 80% of the audience. It is only because Indians go to watch movies and listen to music without paying heed to the religion of the actors that so many Muslim actors have been able to reach the top. While a government can make a tokenminister of minority faith, a 100 crore revenue at box office implies that Indians are voting for these stars with their pocketbook and not paying attention to their religion.
Did you consider the fact that maybe the reason this person was cattyabout Aamir is because he maybe a Shah Rukh fan for instance and these 2 stars have a big rivalry going and that the coment is copletely unrelated to religion?
In fact while there was thatone comment from an Indian on Aamir (which by the way is NOT religious in nature), there are so many comments from Pakistani Muslims which clearly have a problem with Aamir’s religion since essentally they are quesioning whether he is a Muslim at all.
So laugh all you want but the joke’s on you lady.

Actually I guess these are his fans over there who must act like an adult and responsible pilgrim.I wonder if all those people will start acting funny and requesting him for a snapshot…..And since Amir Khan has a unique set of played characters and ways to interact with fans,I hope he doesn’t use the blessed days and the holy journey to promote his latest movie. During Hajj one needs to be very careful in terms of behaviour and code of conduct.
I would also say that Bollywood’s Mahapurush is now finally visiting cities belonging to the Ultimate and Greatest Mahapurush of/for entire humanity.
