The United States on Wednesday formally added the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to its blacklist of foreign terrorist organisations subject to travel and economic sanctions.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in a statement the TTP met the criteria to be included on the list, which bars any material support to and freezes the financial assets of groups deemed involved in terrorism.
Washington sees Pakistan as a frontline state in its war against the Taliban and al Qaeda, and has named a number of Pakistani militant groups to its terror blacklist.
Clinton’s statement was published with the listing of TTP as a foreign terrorist organization in the government’s Federal Register.

Assalam-o-Allaikum Warahmatullah.Including TTP in black list is not the matter of concern. If you recall the history these Alquaida or Taliban members were the most strongest weapons in US hands to defeat USSR in Afghanistan and USA helped them with all kinds of modern weapons and now they are the most strongest enemies of USA.When they were fighting against USSR in Afghanistan they were the best and now when they are against the USA they are the enemies. What a strange attitude of US official about Alquaida or Taliban now-a-days we are seeing!Recommend
