PESHAWAR: A bomb strapped to a donkey killed at least four people and wounded more than 10 others in Lower Orakzai, on the Afghan border Thursday, officials said.
The attack took place in Mishti Mela village in Orakzai, one of the seven districts in the semi-autonomous tribal belt.
“A remote-controlled bomb strapped to a donkey blew up as the animal entered a small bazaar of the village, killing at least four people and injuring more than 10 others,” senior local administration official Fazal Qadir said.
Another local official, Nauman Khan, confirmed the incident and casualties.
The Army has carried out a series of offensives in Orakzai, where Taliban and al Qaeda-linked militants have carved out strongholds to plot attacks on Pakistani, Afghan and Western targets.

Some news leaves you shocked and speechless and some makes you wonder what kind of people you are dealing with. This one does both! Using an animal to kill innocent people in a market place and create mayhem in the area is unthinkable! It makes you wonder the brutality of these murderous thugs. For them shooting a 14 years old girl point blank in the head was not enough! They had to go and strap bombs on a donkey and let it stray into marketplace to kill more innocent souls.
How do you reason with people who use twisted ideologies and bend religious rulings to justify their evil acts? You do not! You stand united against them and support your security forces to go full throttle against these terrorists and totally eliminate them. We must stand united and negate the threat posed by these terrorists.

Shame on all those who are using these unfortunate events to point fingers on Imran Khan. What does he has to do with causing these events , his rally was very much against the issues causing such situations. He has asked for more action (including peace talks , reverse brain washing) and upholding tribal values. Yes he is against foreign infringement which is causing some otherwise patriotic citizens taking matters in their own hands. We need to give more attention to the issues , understand them , dialogue with these guys and make a joint strategy to clean the mess. There are a few hatemongers who are causing these problems , majority is peace loving !
