LAHORE:

The Lahore Development Authority has so far disbursed over Rs110 million as compensation among the owners of 82 properties, situated from Ichhra to Bhati Chowk, acquired by the government for the construction of the Rapid Bus Transit System.

The payments are being made at rates determined by the District Price Assessment Committee. Rs1.80 billion has been released to the Land Acquisition Collector for this purpose. Owners of the remaining properties have been asked to contact the LAC.

In view of irregularities reported in the Sabzazar Housing Scheme, the LDA has decided to carry out more thorough land surveys. Measurements of all plots, roads, open spaces, parks and public buildings will be verified during this survey.

The LDA has invited bids to conduct this survey. Tender documents can be obtained from the Town Planning-III director from October 25 and submitted by October 31.
