Jamaatud Dawa: ‘UN must introduce blasphemy penalty’

LAHORE:
Teachers who work at Jamaatud Dawa schools and madrassas participated in a rally on The Mall on Sunday against an anti-Islam film.
The protesters marched from Nila Gumbad to Masjid-i-Shuhada carrying JD flags, placards and banners and shouting slogans condemning the United States.
JD chief Hafiz Saeed alleged in his speech that US President Barack Obama was instigating people to make blasphemous movies and caricatures. He said that Muslims had been accused of causing a clash between civilisations, but the makers of blasphemous movies and those refusing to ban them were instigating war. He said if the US Constitution gave people the right to blaspheme, “the constitution of Muslims” mandated the death sentence for these blasphemers.
He said Muslim rulers should push the United Nations to get its member states to legislate a death penalty for blasphemy. Muslims countries should set a deadline for such action, and if it did not come, they should sever diplomatic relations with the Untied States.
Saeed said that if the UN did not introduce the death penalty for blasphemy, the US, Israel and Pope Benedict would be responsible for unrest the world over.
The US and the UN both consider the Jamaatud Dawa to be a terrorist group.

UNO would never like to do so because UNO is mostly running and working under USA and Western countries and UNO mostly and always tries its best and utmost to protect the US’ and Western countries’ and their nationals’ interests on every platforms.This is the first and foremost duty of OIC members that they must have to introduce and make laws regarding blasphemy penalty and apply them sternly and strongly in practical forms not verbally……Recommend
Jamat ud Dawa should first ask for the same punishment to those clerics who desecreted the temple in Karachi and burned the church in Mardan. And stage a similar protest on governments inaction.

There;s no such things as Blasphemy Law and no pusnihment for it in Islam. The only punishment, that too the state decided–provided it’s an Islamic state- is for apostasy. And Apostasy is not applicable to Non Muslims.Recommend

There was an article on ET (I will post the link later) which had a nice analogy.
There is is this daughter in a family, who likes to cut herself with blades to get attention of the family. Instead of having a chat with the daughter and solving the problem they try to hide all the blades from her. Nicely written for a different conclusion.
If one were to apply that analogy to JuD family and Mr. HafeezS is the father, He will be asking the blade companies to be declared illegal.

Well JD Chief, People have better things to do and especially people running some large democratic countries. The fact is that people will believe anything, unless they know the truth. The poor fella is in a political dog fight and has little time to spare on making movies.

Hafeez would like UN to adopt the Pakistan’s blasphemy law as an international law. Even with a clause that Ahmadis are not Muslim and all non Muslim are enemy of the UN. Mr. Hafeez and his like think after all Pakistan is the brand ambassador of Islam. I pray to Allah please save Islam from Pakistan.
Suddenly he realized that Islam can concur the world through the Islamization of UN.

Someone tell this character that the UN does not have mandate on making laws like that; it is the individual member country’s responsibility/prerogative to write laws to best suit its interests and govern its affairs. As the world most enlightened nation, we have already drawn up our blasphemy law which could be used to get anyone whom we do not like judicially killed. All Hafiz Saeed and his comrades like Hamid Gul and Zaid Hamid need to do now is ask for divine punishment for those nations who do not follow Pakistan’s lead on blasphemy law!

Just once, and only once we need to round up these who are calling out for the death of this guy and have them whipped in public. This is all it requires. Then we should strip All, every single one of these and ban them from congreagations and preaching to the masses five times a day.I am referring now to All of them have not performed a second’s worth of public service, they have not constructed anything, they are not doing any public work other than Re-donating what the public gives to them in the name of Islam. While Pakistan is on the brink of economic, cultural and social disaster anyways, I assure you that the remaining freedom will also be stripped away from the poor people of pakistan.. Recommend
