Aamir, Danish win opening matches

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top-ranked squash player Aamir Atlas Khan beat out competition from Farhan Mehboob to lift the CAS International Squash Championship on Saturday.
Top-seeded Khan came into the match having blitzed past Farhan Zaman in 30 minutes. He subsequently set about dispatching Mehboob 11-8, 11-2, 2-11 and 11-2.
Mehboob had reached the final after beating Khan’s younger brother, Danish in a closely fought match.
PAF Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt who is also the president of Pakistan Squash Federation awarded trophies to the players, as he was the chief guest on the occasion.
