KARACHI: Pakistan’s top golfer Shabbir Iqbal has opted to stay away from the upcoming Mena Golf Tour in Dubai to stay focused on preparing for the Asian Golf Tour that takes place later this year.
“I’ve been training hard for the Asian Tour,” Shabbir told The Express Tribune. “I want to stay focused on the event which is why I am not participating in low-profile competitions.” Various Pakistan golfers will be seen in action in Mena Golf Tour from September 24 to 28. These include Shabbir’s old rivals Mohammad Munir and Matloob Ahmed besides Adil Jahangir, Shafiq Masih and Danial Jahangir.
