ISLAMABAD:

In an attempt to pacify the charged members, Interior Minister Rehman Malik shared his long claimed ‘documentary evidence’ of involvement of a foreign hand in the turmoil-hit province of Balochistan with the Senate on Friday.

The minister for interior, who had been castigated for the government’s failure to deal with law and order situation in the province, sought special permission from chairman of the Senate to share evidence and add points to the previous day’s policy statement claiming involvement of a foreign force in the unrest of Balochistan.

Malik dramatically started off by saying that given the opportunity he would want to reveal some astounding ‘facts’.

He said: “Let our enemies be aside but I have astonishing facts about the friends…today I am going to support my statement through authentic evidence and a follow-up of those uprisings I mentioned yesterday to satisfy my colleagues who do not believe the content given by the government.”

Showing the document on screens, Malik claimed that at least 46 training camps are operating in Pakistan where the “misled youth” are trained before being sent to Afghanistan for advanced training from where they go to Balochistan to carry out terrorist activities.

He also claimed that about 14 militant outfits including the Balochistan Liberation Army were receiving funds and weapons from abroad to carve way for the separation of the province.

Malik revealed these outfits get 5% out of the $6 billion drugs trade along the Pak-Afghan border together with other huge sums of money from abroad.

The minister urged upon the need for dismantling these camps, instead of going for a normal military operation.

He also showed proof of a number of official letters written by Afghan State government to its departments regarding providing funds, visas, passports and arms and ammunition to Brahmdagh Bugti and his operators inside Balochistan.

The Chairman of the Senate, in consultation with leader of the house and the leader of the opposition, will decide a date for an in-camera session to share information about terrorism in Balochistan.

Even if i agree with you, Mr Rehman Malik, the responsibility of maintaining law & order in the country remains yours I fail to understand your logic.
When you say with authority that 46 camps are operating in Balochistan, why dont you upstick them? You are confessing to the fact that the writ in Balochistan belongs to “foreign hands” and not to you. moreover if you are unable to do something about the camps you can at least do something about the kidnappings and killings in major cities or you want to blame foreign hand for this also. if you can not cut this hand which is destroying my country then how can your government guarantee the defence & integrity of the country against a foreign aggression. you all are living in perpetual denial which will let us down very badly. Face the truth honestly and only then the problems can be solved.

The crap by rehman malik continues… He keep son uttering blatant lies about Balochistan and no one to do anything about it… Rehman Malik has been called a classical lair by Shehbaz Sharif, Zulfiqar Mirza, Shahi Syed and Traders of Karachi… He is the last man in the country whose words one can take as truth..

Now it has been four and half years that He claims about involvement of foreign hand and he has never been able to produce any evidence and never will be able to. The problem of balochistan is internal and aggravated due to five military operations and 65 years of tyranny. In order to solve the problem, first problem has to be understood and truth should be told to all Pakistanis and Certainly Rehman Malik is not helping in this regard. In fact he is diverting attention from the solution of the problem. As along as Rehman Malik is incharge situation will remain worse in balochistan and Karachi. Its very unfortunate that People like Rehman Malik make such decisions when in Power which destroy the country and later they flee out of Pakistan and enjoy in London.Recommend

46 Camps in Afghanistan? No it’s inside Pakistan. And how can you blame some other country for having camps in your own boundary. FAIL

i thing for sure , that insurgent are receiving support from somewhere obviously , no group can fight with government without any help and support from in side or out side.

Support from inside ,almost next to nothing , they need big money and resource to fight with government , so only option left support from outside.

Iran is also effected from the insurgency in Baluchistan, only Afghanistan is on the gaining side in this conflict.

it was for the first time that any political person directly talked about indian involvement in disturbing law and order situation in Balochistan. Indians are doing the for many years but unfortunately our political leaders and media did not have courage to name indians, where as indians donot take minute to blame pakistan
